5K Stretch Goal Announced!

Hello all,
I am so excited to share a new cover illustration for the gallery by Anna Wieszczyk created specifically for the campaign's $5,000 stretch goal.
You are the first people to see the core monster-rescuing squad together at the School for Monsters! Please meet the team - Shel, Frank, Medusa, Will, and sometimes Jack. The Party is being led by their mighty DM, the adorable and cuddly Book of the Dead, Necro. I'm am so geeked to introduce you to them.
This beautiful illustration will be included in the Origins comic as a bonus when we hit 5K. The DND + Magic Party art is of the infamous monster-rescuing squad from the School for Monsters in the middle of a campaign.

What an exciting week so far on the campaign! We've almost hit 150 backers and, just last night, we unlocked Week Three's Digital comic for everyone who backs by Nov. 15th. We are less than $200 from unlocking the 5K stretch goal.
I sat down with Part-Time Fanboy this week and had a wonderful convo about the Kickstarter and the future of Mary Shelley's School for Monsters. I was also able to spend some time last night with Blake's Buzz talking comics and Kickstarter with a group of rad creators. Give these guys a follow if you want to hear more about cool indie comics.
This one ends soon. Apocalyptic sci-fi set in a STEAMPUNK world. The catastrophe in Shadow's Haven worsens because of the skies above and citizens below.

The playful Necro from Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters and the sarcastic Fang from Fangs and Foul Play have teamed up to take on the squirrel that mocks creatures across the internet. Will the infamous Book of the Dead and insatiable vampiric cat be enough to bring down the infernal demon squirrel? Or like the animals before them, will they only complain about the infuriating critter in their diaries?
Artist Mark Mactal designed this playful print of Necro and Fang. The art was inspired by the internet trend #dogsdiaries that starts with an image of a dog/cat watching a squirrel with no hope of catching it.
Back both campaigns at the physical level andreceive a physical 4”x 6” glossyprint of Necro and Fang + digital print. Back both campaigns at anylevel andreceive a digital version of the print.
You already know a little something about Necro from Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters. To learn more about Fang from Fangs and Foul Play, please check out the horror comic where a tortured ex-colonel becomes enslaved to a sarcastic vampiric cat and is forced to do his bidding.

Hope everyone is having a great week!
We are at 113 backers! Hoping to get to 125 by the end of the day. We are just a few backers away from unlocking the access to the below comics to every backer who joins the school by Nov. 8th.
The comics involve a metaphysical steampunk society fighting the supernatural, a county where nightmares come to life, and a dark fantasy where a psychopath may be the world's only hope.
We will be revealing the 5K stretch goal very soon. We also have another exciting collaboration to announce next week.

I get so excited about Halloween and couldn't wait to share the Medusa Monster Jams playlist until tomorrow. Here are the links a day early so you can enjoy them while you get spooky.
I also wanted to share a sneak peek of the Medusa character. She doesn't appear in the Origins comic that we are kickstarting but is a member of the monster-rescuing squad and has a big part to play in the larger graphic novel, La Llorona in the Machine.

New Stretch Goal Unlocks:
We have blown past a few other stretch goals and unlocked the perks for all backers. Every backer will now receive the Some Spells are Forever digital immersive story/game and the digital Frank and Shel print.

I am writing the Some Spells are Forever immersive story and working on the art. It is another way to interact with the School For Monsters world. The reader/player will have to makes the right choices to survive and win the prize. I don't want to give too much plot away because it ties into the larger graphic novel. I'm working on some more art for the immersive story, and we do have one pledge at the 250 level where a backer gets to become a character in the story! Two more spots are open. If you want to see an example of an immersive story/game, check out my Plastic Girl interactive story, ESCAPE FROM BLACK BEAR ISLAND. The Some Spells are Forever will be taken up several quality levels but I will be using a similar format. There will be more riddles and problems to solve AND much more art from the comic.
The other stretch goal is the Frank and Shel digital print illustrated by Mark Mactal, artist from Pistil and stories from Cthulhu is Hard to Spell: The Terrible Twos and the Nightmare Theater anthologies. This print will be delivered to all backers digitally. We've also unlocked the add-on item for the physical print (5.5" x 8.5"). Any backer who wants to add it to their order can now.

Our next Stretch Goal is one for all physical backers. We are putting a foil sticker together of the School for Monster crest. I also unlocked the enamel pin as an add-on which means any physical backer can add one to their pledge if desired.

Can't wait to release details about new reward/add-on and a stretch goal involving the amazing artist of the Mary Shelley School for Monsters: Origins comic, Anna Wieszczyk!
I will be checking in again on Halloween to drop the Medusa's Monster Jams playlist and announce the 2nd week digital comic unlocks. Yes, you all will be getting access to more comics as we go.
